Student of the Year

Purpose

The PANA Student of the Year award is presented to a senior nurse anesthesia student from a Pennsylvania nurse anesthesia program. The award recognizes the student’s commitment to the profession of nurse anesthesia to advance the art and science of anesthesia.

 

Award

The recipient of this award will receive a plaque designating such at the PANA Spring Symposium.

 

Eligibility

The nominee must: 
   - Be a currently enrolled senior of an accredited Pennsylvania nurse anesthesia education program 
   - Hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher

 

Criteria

Nomination submissions should include details on: 
   - Specific contributions to the nurse anesthesia program or to the profession 
   - Details on clinical performance 
   - Presentations or educational sessions provided by nominee 
   - Involvement in extracurricular activities and professional organizations

NOTE: There is different criteria for each award category. In this section below, include details on the nominee's contribution and how it relates to the specific award criteria. The award selection committee will take special consideration of these details.
All information received will be deemed confidential. The PANA Membership Engagement Committee will review and choose the annual award recipients.
