Optional Programming
Simulation Hands On Experience
Preparing for Perioperative Emergencies Using Simulation will involve learners in a two-hour, two-part educational experience. The first hour will be an interactive lecture/discussion of various cognitive aids and how they improve outcomes in emergencies. The second hour will involve small group simulations of select emergency situations with some of the nurse anesthesia profession’s leading simulation experts. Simulation sessions will be limited to 12 people per room and active participation is expected. This is a hands-on interactive experience.  No pre-registration is required. NOTE: In order to participate in the hands-on simulations, you MUST attend the 8:00-9:00 lecture on perioperative emergencies.

ACLS/BLS or PALS Renewal Courses
Offered on Saturday, May 4th, attendees will have the ability to renew their ACLS and/or PALS at a reduced rate.  The courses are provided by Medtrain, a certified American Heart Association provider.  All attendees who pre-register for this course will receive their cards upon completion of the course.

Troegs Brewery PAC Event
PANA will again be hosting a meet and greet at Troegs Brewery on Friday, May 3rd.  Guests will have the chance to network and sample some of central PA’s finest brew.  After a full day of sessions, this will be a night to relax with colleagues.  Light fare, beverages, and transportation will be provided.
