CRNA of the Year

Purpose

The PANA CRNA of the Year award is presented to a certified registered nurse anesthetist that practices in the state of Pennsylvania. The award recognizes the CRNA’s commitment to the profession of nurse anesthesia by the safe and evidence based delivery of anesthesia practice to the residents of Pennsylvania. The recipient of this award should demonstrate the core values of PANA in their practice as a CRNA: advocacy, leadership, integrity.

 

Award

The recipient of this award will receive a plaque designating such at the PANA Spring Symposium.

 

Eligibility

The nominee must: 
   - Must practice as a CRNA in the state of Pennsylvania
   - Must have no current or previous sanctions against his/her license

 

Criteria

Nomination submissions should include details on one or more of the following:
   - Specific contributions to the nurse anesthesia program or to the profession
   - Details on clinical performance 
   - Presentations or educational sessions provided by nominee
   - Involvement in professional organizations
   - Examples of the incorporation of PANA core values: advocacy, leadership, integrity, in the CRNA’s practice

NOTE: There is different criteria for each award category. In this section below, include details on the nominee's contribution and how it relates to the specific award criteria. The award selection committee will take special consideration of these details.
All information received will be deemed confidential. The PANA Membership Engagement Committee will review and choose the annual award recipients.
