Educator of the Year Award

 

Purpose

The PANA Educator of the Year award is presented to a nurse anesthesia program faculty member who demonstrates a commitment to the education of nurse anesthesia students through the promotion of the art and science of anesthesia.

 

Award

The recipient of this award will receive a plaque designating such at the PANA Spring Symposium.

 

Eligibility

The nominee must:
   - Be a current faculty of a nurse anesthesia program in the state of Pennsylvania
   - Hold a MSN or advanced degree

 

Criteria

Nomination submissions should include details on:
   - Specific contributions to the education/mentorship of nurse anesthesia students
   - Details on clinical performance, if applicable
   - Details on presentations or educational sessions provided by nominee
   - Involvement in professional organizations

 

 

Note: For the educator awards, one of the letters of support must be from students.
All information received will be deemed confidential. The PANA Membership Engagement Committee will review the materials and will recommend the award recipients for the Clinical and Didactic Educators, Program Director, and Outstanding Student to the PANA Board for approval. The PANA Executive Board will select the Outstanding CRNA Clinician.
