2018 Legislative Hearing

Before the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Professional Licensure Committee, PANA President Jodie Szlachta, PhD, CRNA, AANA Past President Juan Quintana, DNP, CRNA and Pam Wrobleski, DNAP, CRNA, CASC testify against HB789, a bill that would require, by law, physician supervision.
PANA argued this change in statute could potentially decrease Pennsylvanian's access to healthcare while increasing costs to facilities, while noting the fact that the standard of care for a CRNA and a physician anesthesiologist are the same.
