Look for a bigger and better event this year! The PANA Program Committee is working on a stellar lineup of educational lectures and the Wellness Committee is planning another Wellness Walk’N’Talk event. The meeting brochure is in the mail, and is also available for download here on www.PANA.org. The agenda for this meeting might change, so check back regularly for updates as the event date draws nearer.

PANA Spring Golf is BACK!
Friday morning, April 29th, the Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Anesthetists will be hosting the Eleventh Annual Spring Scramble. The event will be held at the beautiful Iron Valley Golf Club, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Iron Valley Golf Club, designed by renowned golf architect, P. B. Dye, provides an exceptional golf experience.
There are a few exciting changes players will notice since our last event here in 2007: The club house is now completed and beautiful. And, the course has been “turned around” to play as it was originally designed by P. B. Dye - play now begins on what was the back nine and finishes on what was the front nine. The course is ready, and we know you are itching to blow the dust off the sticks and play!
The event will be attended by CRNAs, selected vendors, and their guests. The grille will fire up early to provide cook out style lunch for the group, so come hungry. The golfers tee off promptly at 11:30 am, so please plan your travel time carefully. There will be a shotgun start, and the format will be a four-ball scramble, also known as “captains choice”, so everyone is sure to have fun.

When: Lunch 10:45—11:30. Golf: 11:30 Shot Gun. Don’t be late. Bring a sweater or possibly rain gear. Predicting spring weather in central PA is always challenging so be prepared. One year the temperature rose from 42 degrees to 60 degrees by the back nine!
Why: To honor the memory of our friend Sue Humes Taylor CRNA. Sue’s vision helped to start this event ten years ago. We have launched a “golf scholarship fund” in her name which will sponsor SRNAs interested in playing in the event but can’t quite afford the greens fees. This is a great opportunity for the SRNAs to meet and network with their CRNA mentors.
