PANA Lobby Day 2010
What a day we had in Harrisburg! Over 100 CRNA's and SRNA's traversed about the Pennsylvania Capitol for most of the day. The Winter Group once again had everything planned to allow for successful meetings with most of the House of Representatives. PANA Board members led the groups in some short discussion of the nature of House Bill 1866, which provides for CRNA practice protection and parity with CRNA's in surrounding states that have credentialed as Advanced Practice Nurses. A press conference directed by Representatives Marc Gergely, Steven Barrar, and Senator Mary Jo White presented the Bill to the public. An impressive backdrop of the 100 anesthetists in attendance presented an organized front to those legislators who stopped by for a reception later in the day.
