2012 PANA Spring Symposium

This symposium has been such a huge event for the PANA, offering both educational and social interaction among Pennsylvania CRNA's and SRNA's that we have continued the four day event this year! Starting Thursday evening, and extending into Sunday afternoon, the Hershey Conference will allow CRNA's attending the entire event to receive 27 CEU's.

An optional ACLS & BLS recertification course will be held Thursday evening from 5:00-10:00 p.m. A optional PALS & BLS recertification course will be held Friday evening from 5:00-10:00 p.m. Please note that this is a different schedule than in prior years. You must register and pay for these courses at this website: http://www.emsconed.org/pana.html. The fee for the course is $75 per course or $120 for both. You must also register with the PANA for the day of the symposium that you plan to take the recertification course. For example, if you plan to take the ACLS recertification course on Thursday night, then you MUST register for the PANA conference for Thursday. If you have questions about this, please call the PANA office (717-909-9822) for clarification. Registration will be available onsite but we ask that you please pre-register for the course by going to the above website, if possible.

We of course encourage using the convenient online webform for registering for both the symposium and all other weekend activities, except the Emsconed ACLS/PALS course attendance. Accomodations at the Hotel Hershey
PANA’s Spring Symposium is being held once again at the beautiful and historic Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
PANA has secured a block of rooms for attendees who wish to stay at the hotel; room rates, per night: $220.00 for a Single, Double, or Triple/Quad plus all applicable sales and occupancy taxes. Rooms must be booked directly through the Hotel Hershey by calling 717-533-2171 or by accessing PANA’s group

A small number of 4 or 6 bedroom cottages will be available for those who want to accommodate larger groups. Please call the hotel directly to make these reservations. Mention that you are with the PA Association of Nurse Anesthetists to receive this rate. Hotel Hershey room block is available through April 3, 2012. Hershey is easily accessible by several highways from any area of
Pennsylvania and from out-of-state. Hershey is also close to airline and Amtrak rail services.

PANA will take donations at the registration table all weekend for Bethesda Mission. Bethesda Mission, located in Harrisburg, PA, has been meeting the needs of hungry and homeless people in the Greater Harrisburg area since 1914. The goal in 1914 was the same goal by which Bethesda is operated today: To provide food, shelter, clothing and life-changing counseling In exchange for a donation you’ll receive a NAPCAP item.
