A Message From Alyssa Sciullo, CRNA,
PANA District V President

Hello Colleagues:

This is the first year we are introducing a PANA District V link from the PANA homepage. I am truly excited to introduce this concept to District V. I, along with many of our colleagues, think it is time for us to catch up to technology! We spend hundreds of District V dollars sending out paper mailers for meetings. Using the website will help us save some cost to put toward other endeavors as well as help us be a little “greener.”

I would also like to take this opportunity to give a little information about PANA District V. District V consists of the following counties: Lawrence, Butler, Armstrong, Beaver, Allegheny, Westmoreland, Washington, Greene, and Fayette. As of last year’s Fall meeting, we had 1129 CRNAs in District V. When I received the District V file boxes after the last meeting, I brought them home and started looking through them. I can’t describe how proud I was to say that there is a paper copy of each year’s District V officers dating back to 1969! We as a District have been carrying on our meetings for four decades. In fact, according to PANA, we are one of the only Districts in the state that has been hosting educational meetings routinely. It’s great to see that level dedication coming from our nurse anesthetists.

As we continue the tradition of our educational meetings, we will now be communicating primarily via this website. You need to be an member of PANA and sign in to the website to access our link.

We will post more information on our website and develop it further with time. For now we are just trying to get it up and running. We will post the Fall and Spring Dinner Meeting information and registration form on this site.
